Mike and I finally christened our new kayaks yesterday on a nice sunny paddle on the Petaluma river. We saw so many great sights, and I wish I could share them with you, however I was just not prepared to paddle with my camera quite yet. Some highlights were; deer munching on the riverbank, a blue heron close to us, and the most exciting was paddling over what appeared to be a relatively new fishing boat (such heartbreak for someone!) which probably sunk in our big '05 New Year's flood. The only visible clues of the boat were the tip of the bow railing and the very top lights, horn and antennae. It was very eerie to know a boat was underneath us so we didn't stay too long.
