Mike and I packed up the car early this morning so I could photograph the sun rising over my favorite old-vine vineyard and walnut orchard just down the street from our house. I steadied my tripod on the ladder while Mike dutifully kept the ladder from tipping or sinking into gopher holes while sipping his coffee. It was a nice way to start the day.
